In case you can’t tell from all of the holiday plates and flavours in these pictures … I’m pretty much in full blown Christmas/Holiday mode already – even if it is still only November.
I’m just going to take a moment here and say that if you don’t like pumpkin spice – you are probably not going to like me anymore, because it’s about to get reallllly pumpkin spicy on the blog over the next few weeks.
I’m just going to come right out and say it…. I’m a pumpkin spice addict. Seriously, all jokes aside I am actually addicted – Like when Starbucks brings the pumpkin spice latte back every September I can’t even begin to explain to you how much happiness brews in my soul… all because of a latte with some pumpkin spice. I’m not ashamed of it. 😀
And to tell you the truth, I will pretty much stop at nothing to put a pumpkin spice twist on all the baked goodies I can think of. Case in point; These Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Buns…. yep. This definitely happened, and it was a joyous occasion. And as if the Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Buns weren’t enough on their own… I topped em’ off with Maple Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting – which is nothing short of a mouthful, but also nothing short of just downright amazing.
Happy Baking lovelies <3 <3 <3
You guys; Bacon. Cheddar. Biscuits. Honestly, are there any three words that sing together more harmoniously? I really have no words to describe them, except to say that these biscuits are literally life & you need to make em’ happen.
So, I don’t know about you guys, but as the weather starts to get a little bit more chilly, my body goes into hungry bear mode & I start to crave allllll of the comfort foods; So these extra cheesy, buttery, bacon(y?) biscuits were the result of all of my ridiculous hungry cravings. I have no regrets.
Happy Friday lovelies!
Long time – no recipe share huh!? I’ll say! It’s been a whirlwind of a summer, but the dust is starting to settle & I promise I will be blogging more recipes in the coming weeks. Especially as the seasons to Fall, because it is after all my most favourite season – for many reasons but mainly because it is the season on apples & apples are probably my favourite seasonal fruit to bake with (and you know… eat, obvs).
So I though what better way to welcome in fall, than with a recipe that has fresh apples as the star!
Happy Tuesday lovelies!
Jiminy Crickets it’s been a long time since my last recipe post! Gah! I am officially the worst food blogger ever…. if you could ever call me that – LOL! (probably not) Let’s just stick with calling me “that lady who posts recipes sometimes…”
Anyhoooo – this is a quick one because I’m just here to let you know that the recipe for these Peach Blackberry Scones is up on the Tastes of Lizzy T website today! Yay! I know some of you have been waiting like FOREVER for me to post this one, so head on over to her site, grab the recipe & bake some scones, because these ones are da bomb & the perfect way to end the summer!
OH – and did I mention that they have Vanilla Glaze….. well, they have Vanilla Glaze… ‘nough said.
Chat soon babes!
Good morning lovelies! So who else is so excited that Summer is finally here!? I just love summer – literally everything about it!
What are your favourite things about this gorgeous season? Here are a few of mine… Gorgeous sunshine, warm breezes, naps in the shade, aimless road trips, barefoot strolls, pink sunsets, long nights, early hikes, shorts & flip flops, sun kissed shoulders, freckled cheeks, beach days, sand castles, moonlight swims, sneaky splashes, salty hair, wet bathing suites, sandy toes, camping trips, camp fires, marshmallow roasting, s’mores making, BBQ everything, popsicle making, melting ice cream cones, farmers market wanders, & alllllll the fresh summer fruit!
So yeah, I pretty much love everything about Summer, but I especially love the last one; summer fruits – mostly because baking with fresh fruit is probably my favourite thing ever. Case in point – these Fresh Apricot & White Chocolate Scones.
Happy weekend peeps!
Okay so I know it’s been a long time coming for this recipe; but I really wanted to wait until the weekend to post this one. I always like to do epic breakfast posts on the weekend because I feel like this is when we all get a little bit inspired to bake things like homemade breads and buns, am I right? Because let’s be real – Who has time to deal with time consuming things like yeast during on a weekday morning?
That’s the beauty of weekends for me; I get to play in the kitchen. Admittedly I sometimes get a little carried away and end up baking enough to feed about 4 families for a week, but who’s really going to complain about having some extra baked goodies around the house? I know I sure ain’t. And then there are the times when I get a little carried away with my weekend breakfast baking adventures, and I proceed to bake up deliciousness that barely even qualifies as breakfast in any other way except for its name.
Happy Tuesday lovelies! I am so excited to be partnering up with Best Friends for Frosting to share this super simple recipe for my Banoffee Pie Granola Bars with you today!
Not only do these granola bars make for an amazingly delicious breakfast or snack, but they also double as a super yummy dessert. Basically it’s like getting three meal options for the price of one – and what could be better than that ?!
This is a nice big recipe so you can easily serve up a couple slices for breakfast, pack a few leftovers along with you for an afternoon snack, and still have some leftover to reheat and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Mhmmmmm
But how do they taste you ask? Well to put it simply, they taste just how they sound… like a banoffee pie; Honestly, need I say more? The flavor of the caramelized banana combined with the toasty oats and the nutty pecans… It’s simply irresistible. If you are a banoffee pie fan, you are going to absolutely love these granola bars. So head on over to Best Friends for Frosting to get the recipe for these via this link here !

Why hello lovelies!
Oh my goodness it feels like it was a lifetime ago since I posted anything, so I apologize for being so MIA lately! I have been a busy little bee lately getting prepped for the start of the 2016 Farmers Market season, and I just realized that didn’t make time for recipe post this week! So yes, I am officially the worst blogger ever – but I really wanted to make it up to you with a quick little recipe post that you can hopefully at the very least use for some delicious breakfast / brunch inspiration in your house this weekend 🙂
Happy Wednesday lovelies! I love Wednesdays don’t you? It’s always exciting to me when we get to the mid-point of the week, because It’s at this point that I start to get super stoked for the weekend, and it’s looking like it’s going to be another sunny one this week here in Vancouver, so I really can’t wait!
In light of the return of fabulous weather and upcoming weekend vibes – I think we are due for a little mid-week celebration don’t you? So glad we agree on this – And what better way to do up a mid-week celebration, than with some breakfast for dinner tonight?
Are you a breakfast for dinner fan? Cole and I are all about the breakfast for dinner – and especially so when it’s in the form of these Frosty Cinnamon Sugar Waffles… mhmmmm we went there.
