A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to put together and shoot a Sweet & Savory Waffle Bar for my friends over at The Feedfeed.
Truth be told, putting together a bad ass waffle photoshoot has been on my list of things to do for an embarrassingly long time. I’ve always wanted to do it, but had a knack for procrastinating when it actually came to getting it done. So making it happen for thefeedfeed, seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally get my butt in gear.
I wanted to go big for this shoot, and I knew I couldn’t do it alone, so I enlisted the help of my amazingly talented friend Rosemary Lebarge to help me style the shoot. Long story short; I made the waffles and she laid everything out to make it look downright incredible. I mean who wouldn’t want to attend a party where there was a waffle bar like this???
We had crispy Savory Cheddar Waffles served with creme fraiche, smoked salmon and fresh chives, (DA BOMB) along with Sweet Cinnamon Waffles, served with maple syrup, whipped cream and all the fresh strawberry compote. Coffee was a must and so was all of the fresh fruit we could get our hands on. Basically all of my brunch dreams came fruition.
Best part about the whole thing was that we had an absolute blast shooting it together, and once we were all done, we got to enjoy a giant waffle bar all to ourselves… dream come true? I think yes.
