So if you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I fully ate three quarters of this cake all to myself. I went back for “just one more bite” about thirty times until the cake was just about gone, because I simply couldn’t help myself…
Do I have regrets about demolishing a cake in the span of a half hour that could easily have feed ten people? No, because that’s how good this cake is. It was absolutely worth every bite, and the subsequent trip to the gym the next morning for a gnarly work out sesh.

Have you ever made homemade dulce de leche? It’s a game changer – and actually quite an easy game changer when you make it with a can of sweetened condensed milk.
To be perfectly honest, I can eat dulce de leche just straight from the jar. It’s that good. But pair it with a chewy chocolate chip cookie & you will be forever changed.
Is this chocolate chip cookie cake a little over the top? Perhaps. But if there is one thing I know for sure; it’s that if this cookie cake is considered wrong, then I don’t want to be right.

Is it just me or is there just something so hypnotizing about roll cakes? Whenever I make one, I find myself leering at it like a total weirdo… does anybody else have this problem? There is really something about these cakes that just makes you want a slice – no matter what time of day. Roll cake for breakfast? Heck yes!
You guys… I have just four words for you. Chocolate. Chip. Snack. Cake. I honestly don’t know what else to say – other than you need this cake in your life. The flavours are so simple & it’s so easy to make, but it’s probably one of my all-time favourite cakes. Honestly, to say that I love this cake with all my heart, would be an understatement.

Ever since blood oranges started showing up in my market I have been telling myself I need to baking something with these colourful beauties & I finally got around to it this past weekend.
It’s Canadian Thanksgiving in a couple of days, & I’m so excited to spend the day cooking and baking delicious food with my mom, while my brothers sneak bites of food and my mom and I pretend not to notice.
It’s going to be our first Thanksgiving at my parents new house & I can’t help but be excited about this being the first of many special Thanksgiving dinners that we will spend there for years to come. My parents bought a new dining table, that is large enough for everybody to sit comfortably around – which is something of a change for our large family.
As I get older, I cherish more and more the times that the whole family can come together to enjoy a meal together & catch up on some much needed family time. So I’m really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year.

I feel like I have been so MIA lately, so I have to apologize to you all. It seems like my recipe posts have been so few and far between over the past couple of months, and I really have no good excuse except to say that it has been a busy summer.
Not to mention I have been guilty one too many times of digging into all my summer baked goods before I get the chance to snap some good pictures to share with you guys……. I honestly can’t tell you how many times that’s happened this summer. Let us not speak of it & let me try to make up my lack of recipes with this pan of deliciousness instead 😀

I’ve got a quickie little recipe share for you here today, because this one was just so darn yummy that I couldn’t wait any longer to share it with you <3
First of all – please forgive me for the lack of photos on this one, but I was barely able to snap these two before the cake was confiscated from it’s photo shoot, only to be gobbled up in the blink of an eye by a couple of hooligans – namely Cole, who loves anything lemon related and my mother who is nothing short of a lemon addict.
So once again – I’m sorry for the lack of cake pictures for you to gawk at. I know we all eat with our eyes and these pictures are definitely not the greatest, so you will just have to take my word for it when I say that this cake is amazing.
Now let’s get right down to business shall we? This Sweet Lemon Curd Cake is quite literally “the bomb.” So even though my mom ate this cake up before I could even take any pictures, I have to admit that she was the inspiration behind this cake, so I owe the credit of how well it turned out to her.
