3-4 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
How to make
Donuts
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease with butter. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, salt and brown and granulated sugars.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients & set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, Baileys Red Velvet, vinegar, red food colouring and eggs until well combined. Slowly whisk in melted butter until combined.
Pour into the well of the dry ingredients and gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry until the dough has just come together – it is okay if there are still a few floury streaks.
Scoop batter into a piping bag and cut about a 1 inch opening off of your piping bag.Pipe the batter into the donut pans filling about 1/2 of the way full.
** if you don’t have a piping bag you could use a zip loc back or just spoon the batter into the donut pan.
Place your donuts in the oven to bake for about 9-10 minutes or until the tops spring back to the touch.
Remove from the oven and set on a wire rack to cool for a few minutes before turning them out on the wire rack to cool completely.
Vanilla Cream Cheese Glaze
While your donuts cool, prepare your glaze.
In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and milk with an electric mixer until smooth and there are no lumps of cream cheese. Add the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time and beat on low speed until smooth. Add vanilla extract and beat on high speed for one minute.
Chocolate Cream Cheese Glaze
If you would rather chocolate cream cheese glaze, simply prepare glaze as per vanilla glaze instructions. Melt dark chocolate and mix into vanilla glaze until smooth and creamy.
Once your donuts are cool, you can begin to glaze. Working with one donut at a time, Dip the smooth side of the donut (the one that was inside the baking mould) into the prepared glaze and submerge half way. Gently pull the donut up and allow any excess to run off.
Place the donut back on the cooling rack with the unglazed side down. Continue with remaining donuts. Top with sprinkles (if desired)
Enjoy with Baileys Red Velvet Hot Chocolate.
