Hold up… Have you ever baked your french toast in the oven?
Hear me out… I know it might not be the traditional method, and that frying anything in a pan with butter seems like the ultimate way to prepare anything – BUT – Baking has become my absolute favourite way to French Toast, for two reasons…
Number One – Because it is so simple. Baking your french toast means that there is no messy frying pan, you’re not tied to your frying pan waiting for that optimal moment to flip, and best of all – all the toast is ready at the same time…
And number two – because it is sooo delicious! Let me just try and describe this real quick… When you bake french toast in the oven as opposed to frying it, the toast gets the most incredible, crisp, golden outer crust and puffs up while it bakes for the fluffiest french toast you ever did see! The texture of baked french toast is next level.
Not to mention you aren’t frying it, so I’m pretty sure that means it’s healthy… right? Yeah… that’s what that means. #guiltfree.
So to sum up…
If you haven’t tried this technique, it comes highly recommended by me – and you best believe I’ve got the perfect recipe for you to try it out. Like right now…
